Winners' Chapel International Nairobi uses two kinds of browser storage. Strictly necessary storage keeps the site secure. Optional storage remembers a preference on this device. The banner at the bottom of the page lets you accept both, or keep only what is necessary. You can open that choice again from Cookie preferences in the footer.
Strictly necessary
These are set so members can sign in and so we remember the choice you already made. The site does not ask permission for them, because the signed-in pages and the consent banner cannot work without them. They are not used to advertise.
| Name | What it is | How long |
|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in. On an HTTPS site the name starts with __Secure-. The cookie is HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it. | Up to 12 hours |
| authjs.csrf-token | Protects the Google sign-in form. On HTTPS the name starts with __Host-. | Session |
| authjs.callback-url | Remembers which page to open after sign-in. On HTTPS the name starts with __Secure-. | Session |
| wc_has_backup_pw | Remembers that this device has saved or used a backup password, so the sign-in page can show that form. The value is only "1". It does not store your email, name, or password. | Up to 400 days, or until you remove the backup password or delete the account on this device |
| wc_profile_prompt | Shows a short welcome note after a new Google sign-in, asking you to complete your profile. The value is only "1". | Up to 14 days, or until the profile is saved |
| wcn_cookie_consent_v1 | Local storage that remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional storage, and when you chose. We keep this even if you reject optional storage, so we do not ask on every page and so we know not to save preferences. | Until you change it or clear site data |
Optional preferences
If you choose Accept all, we may store this on the device:
| Name | What it is | How long |
|---|---|---|
| wcn_promo_popup_dismissed_… | Local storage that remembers you closed the welcome photo. The ending of the name changes when the church publishes a new version of that notice, so a new notice can appear once. | Until that notice changes, or you reject optional storage |
If you choose Reject optional, we do not write that dismissal into local storage, and we delete optional dismissal keys already stored on this device. Closing the welcome photo then lasts only for the current browser session (session storage). It can appear again on a later visit. Rejecting does not sign you out, and it does not delete prayer requests or messages you have already sent.
Page-view counts
If you choose Accept all, public pages send a short note to this site so a superadmin can see totals. It is not a cookie and it does not include your name or IP address. A value named wcn_analytics_sid is kept in session storage for that tab only, so we can tell a single visit from the next page in the same tab. Closing the tab removes it. Reject optional, Do Not Track, and Global Privacy Control all stop the note. Signed-in administrators are not counted.
What we do not use
We do not set advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or analytics cookies. We do not drop third-party marketing pixels on these pages. Sign-in does send you to Google and back; that step is Google's own sign-in, described on the privacy page.
How to choose again
Use Cookie preferences in the footer, then Accept all or Reject optional. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser. Clearing them signs you out and shows the banner again.
